Got a Summer Cold

This is nuts! How in the world did I manage to get a cold in July? Great timing too, I've got to go to the plantation tomorrow. And I'm finally going to have to start working in earnest on the bleeding accounts.

Shaggy,

Man, that is nuts! Getting a cold in the middle of a blast-furnace Iraqi summer?! That must have been a Zionist-built germ that lodged in your throat. Heh heh heh. Damn those clever Jews!

You can catch a cold at any time of the year, depending on who you shake hands with or share a lift with. If there are more in the winter, it is because people spend more time indoors, coughing and sneezing at each other. Temperature as such has nothing to do with it - after all, the Iraqi winter is like the British summer.

Don,

Why didn't you tell me you were one of them innerlekshuals?

I hope that you still agree with me that Jews are damn clever.
